Boning up on orthopaedic conditions!

To augment my understanding of anatomy and physiology, I have just completed a fascinating course entitled 'Pilates for common orthopaedic conditions'. The course has provided me with a detailed understanding of the conditions that can affect joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments and cartilage throughout the body and, more importantly, how to structure Pilates programmes to help in the recovery process or to mitigate the degenerative effects.


The course has reinforced in my mind the power of Pilates in both avoiding and compensating for various conditions that can affect us at any age but more particularly in our later years.
