A stretching class to help avoid injury and achieve improved mobility
Service Description
The one area of exercise and well being that gets most neglected is that of stretching. Factors affecting flexibility include prolonged periods of inactivity such as sitting at a desk, advancing years and certain sports such as running. Our well being and performance are significantly enhanced through improving our flexibility. This class focuses on improving flexibility through a series of developmental stretches which are progressive stretches held for between 30 and 60 seconds each. By stretching at the end of the day we can release the tension built up throughout the working hours and help ensure that we have a better night's sleep. Plus, our muscles, tendons and ligaments have all had a chance to warm up making stretching more effective. The class is very relaxing and, by attending regularly and, hopefully, adopting the stretches throughout the week, you will see a noticeable improvement in your flexibility.
